We are living in the stupidest of times

Some random Republican Congressman introduced a bill that would allow Trump to enter negotiations to try to acquire Greenland and then rename it "Red, White and Blueland". What the hell? Are these people serious? I swear there should be an IQ test for members of Congress and *ahem* the presidency.
Trump has been obsessed with (among other things) taking over Greenland to use it as a military base and also to mine minerals. Denmark, who controls Greenland, has basically told Trump to F off and now residents of Greenland are saying the same. Yes they have frustrations with Denmark but they DO NOT want to become part of America.
Even if Trump's fever dream of the US acquiring Greenland happened (narrator: it won't) can you imagine what an INSULT it would be to the residents of that island to have the name changed to "Red, White and Blue Island"? Why do these people continue to display how stupid they are? It isn't winning them new votes. The ignorance is astounding.

To anyone from Greenland, and to anyone from Canada: I personally apologize for the idiot at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I didn’t vote for him, but I feel the need to reiterate that all Americans are not like him. Most of us love you as allies and support you as free and sovereign nations.

Well, let's face it, aquiring land from other counteries isn't anything new. Trump isn't the first to try or do so and he won't be the last. He might not win this one, but it's not stupid, as it's reality.

@NJChicaa No one says they have to. No one says they'll hand the country over, just because Trump asked. But, if you know history, wars were fought mostly over land. Hell, the U.s. became what it was, because several counteries fought for the land. Until eventually we had the 50 states and several taterories.
TRUMP LIKELY WON"T GET Greenland, but does it make it any less of a target, no.
