Talking with a cousin

I just talked to a cousin about one of our relatives named Thelma who just passed away. My told me that he could not really remember her and possibly did not meet her ever since. Our relative is far from us, we are in the national capital region whereas our deceased relative is in northern mindanao.
I had a chat with the late Thelma thru the social media when she was still alive I told her that she was the only whom I haven't meet or known but her answer surprised me because she said that she really knew me. Now that she's already dead, I wish that during that I should have gone to her personally.
Have you also experienced having a relative which you haven't meet or haven't known?

After my siblings left home, they moved all over the US. I have several nieces and nephews I've never met.

@pahak627 Yes, especially in large families. I was next-to-the-youngest in a family with 16 kids. My oldest brothers and sister were all grown and moved away before I was born. They had kids older than me. After they scattered across the US getting work, getting married and living their own lives, they didn't have time to "come home" until their kids were teenagers or older.

Most of my relatives are in our country, only a few are living abroad. My father's and mother's siblings lived in our country except for one my paternal aunt who was in USA. However, I met her son when we were still children. No contact ever since, so I haven't met my cousin's family yet. With the other aunts and uncles here, I also haven't met some since they are already living in other parts of the country which are far from where I live.
