"Boiled Eggs & Sneezing? Coincidence or Real Issue? Let’s Discuss!"

Hey MyLotters, I’ve been eating a boiled egg every day, and I noticed often I get a runny nose or sneezing. Could eggs be the cause? I’ve heard that some people have mild egg allergies or histamine sensitivity, which might trigger these symptoms. But I’m not sure if it’s that or just a coincidence. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you think eggs can lead to mucus buildup? Or could it be something else in my diet? Let’s discuss! I'd love to hear your experiences and thoughts on this.

That’s really interesting! It could be that you have a mild sensitivity to eggs, especially if this happens every time you eat them. I’ve heard of people having similar reactions, but it could also just be a coincidence. Maybe try skipping eggs for a few days and see if it makes a difference? Either way, I hope you figure it out soon.

I have no problem with eggs. And I´m glad for it because I love them in every possible way.

What do you put on your boiled eggs after you peel them? If you put a lot of spices, are you getting spices airborne and breathing them in while making your meal or while eating it?
Have you talked to your doctor about this and asked for an allergy test to see what allergens in your environment may be causing the allergy symptoms?
Lots of people have egg allergies and, no matter how they're cooked, someone sensitive to eggs will show the same symptoms.
I hope you aren't allergic to eggs. They're so delicious and good for your health.

That’s an interesting perspective! I haven’t thought about airborne spices being a factor, but I’ll definitely pay attention to that. As for eggs, I’ll try skipping them for a few days and see if there’s any change. If the symptoms continue, I might look into an allergy test just to be sure. Thanks for your input—I appreciate it!

@Manasha You're very welcome. I have a lot of allergies and I know how annoying they can be.

I love eggs. I also eat one boiled egg every morning. No problem. But I'm not sure if your sneezing is due to allergy with eggs. Sneezing may be caused by food or the environment. You need to look into it.

We used to get free milk at school and that would always lead to my nose getting really clogged up. I'm sure it was the milk but in those days nothing was really known about sensitivity to certain foods as opposed to straight-out allergies.

That’s interesting! It does sound like you had some sensitivity to milk, even if it wasn’t a full-blown allergy. Back then, people didn’t really talk much about food intolerances, but now we know a lot more about how different foods can affect us. Did you ever try cutting out dairy later on to see if it made a difference?
