Windy and Cold

Very cold feeling when you are outside. The roads do look good out there at least. But there is icy spots on some of the bare ground outside. It just means watching as you walk.
One of my hens was singing the egg song this morning. But when I looked there was no egg. So I asked them if one of them farted 
. Hope they start laying very soon or I am going to eat them all.
I need to call Tractor Supply sometime today. They might know when they will get chicks in by now. Hopefully soon.

We know what that is like here, the windy and cold...winter needs to be over already. That's good the roads look good. ours are white and it just started snowing

@wolfgirl569 I have a rooster that mimics the hens also. I can tell it is him, but the hubby always thinks it is a hen and tells me somebody is laying. I had to take him out there and show him for him to believe me.

Yeah, that wind bites as it blows. Having spent a few days in shorts in Florida isn’t helping me. (Yeah, I know, I have to pay for it. 
)

Are your neighbors charging high prices for their eggs? And I thought you stocked up not too long ago?
Do guineas or chickens taste better roasted with spices in the oven?

We are almost out but the auction is tomorrow. The one neighbor started raising her price. The other neighbor has mostly small eggs.

I really am curious if you've ever roasted a guinea fowl and compared it to a chicken. Are they any good cooked?

Never have butchered any of them. I do know muscovy duck tastes similar to beef.

Maybe it was an invisible egg! I hope they start laying soon for you. Surely the threat of being butchered and eaten would be a good incentive to lay eggs!
Our main roads were good--a few icy spots but not too bad. But more is coming tomorrow evening and Saturday, same as yesterday, ice/sleet/snow/frozen rain. Whatever they call it, it will be slippery!
