That Didn't Work

I had bought the ready made pie crust and didn't use it for a bit. It didn't taste right when I got the mini pies done. But I kept the pie filling by scraping it out and made an apple crisp instead. We can snack on it this weekend. So it wasn't a total loss at least.
I will be getting dressed for the auction once I post this. It was only 13 F when I got up this morning so I will be dressed in layers. Hoping for some good stuff at the auction. But I know I will see some friends. Also hoping for a good price on eggs.

Good move. I figure the cost of the lost food is cheaper than the cost of an ER visit for food poisoning.

One of the apps Pretty uses is offering $2.50 back on a dozen eggs through the app. I don't know if it matters where you buy the eggs from or not. We're still good on eggs for now so we don't need the e coupon, but somebody might like to use it.
It was 13F when my brother picked us up to take us to the laundromat this morning. It's 28F now. That's still too cold if you ask me. We have the laundry washed and Pretty started her clothes drying.
I'm ready to go to sleep for a while now. I hope you find something good at the auction today.

@wolfgirl569 We made it up to 35F by the late afternoon but that cutting wind never stopped. I slept for about 3 hours this afternoon. I'm still sleepy.
I cooked the frozen Mexican Lasagna yesterday and plan on eating more of it later this evening.

I never did think ready made pie crust tasted very good. And it’s expensive, I have made so many pie crusts over the years I could probably make them in my sleep! I’m sorry it wasn’t good but it sounds like you salvaged the filling which is the best part!

I haven't made a pie in ages but I do remember buying those already made ones and they were okay. Certainly not as good as homemade but good in a pinch. Glad you were able to save your pies by making an apple crisp.
Stay warm It's a cold day here today but at least the sun is shining. Good luck finding a good price on eggs. The prices here are getting ridiculous.

Eggs here are so high. I want to make something but I don't know what I want to make lol. It's the problem when you like baking, you have so many recipes that sound good lol.
