Egg News From Idaho

It seems that egg prices have gone up 153% in the last couple of years. Originally blamed on the bird flu it is now estimated to continue through 2025. Stores are using the hike as a ploy to bring in customers. Advertise a lower price to them in and then they will probably spend money on other items. Oh, yes don't we love that? I had the idea of buying some chicks this spring and starting my own egg production but Section 8 wouldn't allow that. State legislators are even contemplating a new bill that would let backyard ownership of chickens become law. Of course that won't happen any time soon. With eggs becoming the valuable commodity that it has it has given thieves a new avenue in which to make more ill-gotten gains. So be on the look out for dastardly characters wanting to get their hands on your eggs(if you can afford to buy any that is). The picture is from pinterest.in

@lilacskies .......truth. I stay inside. I don't think I have been out in the world for two years. I haven't the patience and would probably get thrown in jail for popping some smart a*s in the face.

@celticeagle This is why I have no expectations when it comes to the human race. Expectations lead to disappointment and a waste of energy.

@wolfgirl569 ........I foresee even the price of chicks will go up shortly. Breeding them would be a great way to make some money.
