They were surprised to see me...

It's 11:45 AM as I write this post. I came back from work at 10:30, finished few chores and here I am free now to myLot for a while . It's another day of pleasant weather here. I am just loving Spring. Spring is very short( few weeks only) in India and I want to enjoy the blooms everywhere till they last. It was not needed for me to go to work today. As I mentioned in my last post that I have no individual sessions or parents meet for this week. I have work to complete the 12 reports ( till end of March) and do some bit of writing, editing and organizing for the quarterly school newsletter that will be handed to parents in March. I could have done them from home. Instead I chose to go to work from 8_10:15 and give some uninterrupted time without distractions. At home, I will keep getting distracted by some chores or some cleaning work etc. My OCD for cleanliness is easy to be distracted. As my workplace is just 7 minutes walk, it's not much of trouble. Also, it made me stick to my daily morning routine . My colleagues were surprised to see me. I could sit there in the staff room near the window and finish a good amount of work. I finished a detailed assessment report of one child ( assessed recently for next academic year) and could start with report writing of another one. I will finish that tomorrow. I will go again as I felt that I could accomplish a lot today. Tomorrow I plan to finish the report and maybe have an inventory check up for my resource room..we generally do that in the last week. But I don't see anything much happening in the last few weeks of work, I would rather start working on that. Sitting at a stretch with my laptop is not my cup of tea. Today, I could feel that I had good sun and breeze coming from the window. I had a good dose of Vitamin D today while working . And I could see a lots of colourful blooms in the campus from that window Now, the messed up room. I will open the door after spending some time here and spend an hour there. Hopefully, I will get few things organized. I will start with the two small drawers. Hope all is well in your myLot corner . Enjoy your time. Wish you all a very happy week ahead

You had a very productive morning! I'm trying to get rolling here! Lots of errands and flea market mini-run today--mainly cleaning there.

@arunima25 Yes, we got all the errands done. Ran some more today and we don't have to go anywhere for the rest of the week! I do have to go "doggy proof" my bedroom though before the dog comes inside tonight with this hard freeze.

Glad to know that you have accomplished a lot of work today. I would also love to work to a nearby workplace and finish all my task in a very nice working space.

I loved my last workplace too. I worked there for ten years. I am still associated with them in some capacity. But then the commutation time started troubling me. With more construction and traffic, it increased over years and started taking a toll on my health. This new place is a blessing. I save time and money on commutation. I walk down to my work. I take car only when it's raining.

Yes, it was a good idea and I will do that for the rest of the week. Here at home, my attention gets divided between work and the household chores.

Yes, that is the biggest plus point of this place. My earlier workplace was quite a drive. And after a certain age, it started taking a toll on my health traveling in the horrible traffic. I loved the place and I am associated with them even now for some online teachers workshop, parent education program etc. But regular commutation was getting too much. Spring is here for another three weeks. Days are getting warmer

@arunima25 i'm glad days are getting warmer. i always liked colder weather but body aches happen more in winter so, until march 21 by calendar, we are having winter. according to weather, maybe sooner. enjoy spring. as for your travelling, i agree with you. traffic is getting tougher, people too and you need some kind of serenity when coming at your workplace.

I try to control it as much as possible. Because at times it can be annoying to others around you. I can't ignore it if it's visible. I have to shut down the sight

That was a sensible thing to do - to go to work and get more extra tasks completed without distractions.

Yes, it is more productive as I can stay focused. Seeing others work too gives that vibe. In home, I miss that and get easily distracted.

Is it spring in Bangalore now? I am sure now that Lalbagh botanical gardens and Cubbon park are now extremely beautiful. Long time since I last visited Bangalore. It was more than fifteen years back. I was shivering in the cold weather then. I had visited Bangalore on first week of March. But more than Bangalore, it was Sakleshpur which was more terribly cold. By the way, I hope your counselling work is going on fine. Have a nice day!

Not been to either of them this time. But yes, they are good around this time of the year. Bangalore has deteriorated a lot, it's concrete jungle more than a garden city full of buildings and constructions, and reducing green patches. My work is going good. Thank you. You too have a good day
