Cashier in a store charged another person first cause i was still putting things in my bag

I complained to the manager and she said that's their policy. Being quick so noone is waiting. What a bs. Cashier only had to wait for 5seconds, maybe less. Instead, he charged person behind me and told me there is no hurry. On my complain that this is rude and he should apologize, he was mum. Manager also said he's new. I was constantly new in my jobs but i know what's respect and this was not. In the end, she will give him a warning and she hopes this didn't spoil my day. No, i will try not to let this spoil my day but i'm a sensitive person, don't tolerate injustice and i didn't need this. I think i will not go there anymore;i deleted the app. They were constantly throwing items, cashiers, i mean, and now this;shaming me for no reason. It's too much. What a world we are living in or just here...

Sorry about your experience..Here too, they would ask the next person in line if the person is not ready. But waiting for 5; seconds is no big deal. He could have easily done that. They get impatient if there is a long queue.

Thank you. Manager was first, i feel, belittling my complain then she apologized 3 times when i said customer is last at their store. yes, exactly 5seconds. It wasn't a big line cause the new line was opened right at that time. I've never experienced this. I got used to not greeting me, throwing my things, which i successfully put in my bag every time but this time i had more items and i got this. a slap. and you know what i hate? others apolozing for the ones who made a mistake. I was also considering leaving my things;i wish i did but it's too late now. when i said he should apologize, that he was rude, he was scanning items from other person. while he was waiting for me and my 5 seconds, he could have taken a breath. this is a german store chain and i wonder if the same treatment would be there. and yes, he chatted and waited for his acquaintance to put things in her bag but me, not a chance. she was 2 people before me;i remembered this now. So lame.

@grenery8 That was highly unprofessional and very rude. And totally unacceptable considering that these kind of job require more politeness and courteous behaviour. They are into facing customers day in and day out.

@arunima25 and every time, they don't make a contact; most of them, throw things like they are playing and now this. they should put robots there and self-checkout. they are the only store chain here that doesn't have that so, you're right, is this really a way how to treat a customer. i went to bed late last night, couldn't sleep and this was still on my mind. he will get only a warning and he humiliated me just like that. and that's a policy. it should be written somewhere if the policy is not to wait 5seconds for a customer who's first in line, right? i even sent an email to germany but not sure will they respond but their headquarters is there. and when manager said he probably didn't notice me. i mean, should have i clapped for that, that i was only a number for him and he treated me like that.

The world is filled with rude people. I come across all the time. I have zero expectations since I will be left disappointed if I do anyway.

i wish i was stronger like you. i try ignoring some things but this, humiliating me with no reason and cashier just getting the warning, that's not enough. and manager first interrupting me, informing me that's their policy and only later apologizing me. if this is their policy why it isn't written anywhere. i should hit people and say that's my policy, such rubbish thing. i don't want to mention age thing, but i'm sure that elder people wouldn't go through this. as a young person, maybe still, i was many times humiliated like this. in cell store when i start running while my number was shown on digital screen and when i arrived, they served another person, ignoring me but when it was my turn, they acted polite. and many other examples. they did this to me in the library too; what's the point of line if you're going to serve other people. i sometimes hate living in this rude country or city. there are no rules actually, rules apply to some people. i wish i left all the things that i bought yesterday, not buying them. that thought came to me but i was stunned about what was happening.

@lilacskies i think t.swift fragile will speak to both of us; i feel constantly vunerable. i usually go to self-checkups in a store but this shaddy store is the only store chain that doesn't have self-checkout. i was happy before. i also like avoiding people cause they bring evil deeds to me. if someone does a good thing, it gets me in a shock, i'm not used to it at all. if i want to buy it online, i need to pay a delivery fee so i fear this option is out for me cause, fees are not scheap. since i'm jobless, i count on every penny and actually, going to a store gave a good reason to leave my flat. thank you much for your support. and, imagine this, this happened on monday and i didn't receive any answer on my complain via email. i only left them a rude comment on facebook and that was it. i will continue with my life but wish them all the worst.

@grenery8 Thank you for your word kinds. I don't feel strong. I feel vulnerable and weak, and constantly attract psychos into my life even if I stay still. I completely understand your frustration. I deal with so many rude people on a regular basis that I just take a step back and assess my situation. Do I really need to do this right now? Do I have other options? Can I just buy these things online and stay home and have them delivered to me? If I have the opportunity to avoid people, I take that opportunity without hesitation because I have enough suffering as it is. I don't need to deal with rude people on top of it. I'm sorry people are rude and abusive to you. They have no right to do that to you. You have done nothing wrong. You are a victim and they are the assailants. Stay strong and stay patient. Don't let them win. See if you can buy those same things you bought online and have them delivered to you because unfortunately, these rude people will not change and these situations will continue. If you want to cut off these experiences, please look into having your items delivered to you. I don't do my grocery shopping or any other important shopping physically. I just buy them online, have them delivered to me, and avoid contact.

I agree, waiting for 5 seconds is no big deal and would not annoy the next person in line. Rude!

it's beyond and manager saying the cashier probably didn't notice me and that's their policy. she apologized me only when i said that customers are last in their store. where is written that policy? so, i should hit people cause that's my policy. if they aren't good raised by their family, their company should do that. and i don't what to mention an age thing but imagine someone did that to a granny. it won't pass. but me, it's all good. i can handle humiliations with no reason. i don't want to take this personally, but i am

I hope this will not ruin your day. Just deal with it and forget about it. Is not a good thing to feel bad all day long... things that I have learned as I grow old. But I am not saying it is good that they did that to you. I mean it is very rude to do that if they just need to wait for only 5 second, I mean imagine the time that the customer who waited in line and made them wait for another minute just because they rudely do their job. That's sad, but I hope this will not ruin your day, they don't deserve to be in your mind for a long day.

Here’s one thing I dread when I go grocery shopping: rushing at checkout. I would have been hurt in the past but now no more. I'm getting old, I don't seem to give a crap about most things anymore. It's nice you got an apology from the manager though, that's something. Hopefully the new cashier will be more considerate even if you won't go there anymore.

this is the only grocery store chain (named lidl) that doesn't have a self-checkout and i thought they care about customers but obviosly not and i don't want to be feel bad going there. they gave me unnecessary stress. this one store isn't for me and i'll try going to other stores and to self-checkout only. thank you. well, apology, which i kind of issued. at first, she was belittling me, saying it's their policy. only when i said that customer comes last, then she went 360. thank you.

@grenery8 Oh I see. I think that chain has good products but yeah, staff is whatever. Along with Aldi, they give a bit of that stereotypical strict German vibe. And no self-checkouts in either, true.
