The Toilet of the Internet

How is it possible that Facebook can publish frauds, lies, advertisements that pretend to be articles, and get away with it?
I spend the day deleting, blocking, hiding, and it never stops.
I had joined FB to play Scrabble as it warned when a letter was misplaced, contra other sites. I noticed my friends had accounts and having joined under a nick sent them private messages revealing my identity.
When I use the term 'friend' I am talking about people I have coffee with, attended their weddings.
Just recently I've been getting posts from the most unreliable sources making claims I know are false as I have a fully operational brain and am immune to 'influencers' and other scammers.
It has truly become the toilet of the 'Net.

I laughed at the title! Thank you for that! Well, it's all about the money since it's a corporation that exists to make money and accrue profits to do well in the stock market and appease stockholders.

@jaylar Unfortunately, this applies to the other social media sites too. Just corporations making money. They have no interest in anything else. Money, profits, appeasing their shareholders, getting rich. That's it. I don't use social media.

@lilacskies I think we felt FB was harmless, nice, decent... okay. We were deceived beyond belief

It is a shame that some social media sites are becoming fraud cities.
