Good Food, Okay Day

I slept a full eight hours last night. My chronic pain is manageable. No sharp chest pains due to pleurisy. I am hydrated with water and chamomile tea. I even have my appetite back. I skipped breakfast, but I had lunch. This is what I had: Minestra di Pane which is an Italian bread soup. My mama made this out of scratch for lunch. Beef Ragu which is an Italian pasta dish. This was another dish my mama made out of scratch. Both dishes were delicious, filling, and kept me full for hours. Dinner won't be for another couple of hours. I have no idea what we are having, and I will only join my parents for dinner if my appetite stays. I'm not hungry, but my body isn't rejecting food today so that's a good sign. I'm also in a fairly good mood. I had a crabby morning, but that has worn off now. Today has been an okay day of good food and organizing more bills. Not too bad.

That’s great that you managed a whole 8 hours. The pleurisy should be getting better if you are taking antibiotics. This should clear up within a week. If not then you need to go back to the docs. Are you Italian, or of Italian heritage? I love Italian food, but I’ve never heard of Minestra di Pane. Minestrone, is my go to Italian soup, but I don’t have it often. Spag Bol is something I have often, and lasagna occasionally. Both delicious. I hope your good mood continues. This will make everything better.

@lilacskies I thought so when you were calling your mother, “mama”. Most of the Americans on here say “mom”. I’ll look up the recipe and will definitely give it a go. Thanks. In the meantime, here is a little song for you to listen to:

@Orson_Kart Ah, yes. But I don't like to share my ethnic background online so I removed my comment. I hope you understand. Sounds good to me! Good luck!

@lilacskies I am fortunate because my town has a warm water pool. I exercise in the pool once a week, moving my joints and muscles. Its painful but I need to do it or lose my ability to walk.

Some days they help. Some days they don't at all. It depends!

Thank you. I'm doing okay. My chronic pain is back so I'm in bed again. It's frustrating. I had RA for years now so it's one more physical illness I suffer from. Nothing I can do about it.

Good to know you got a full night sleep and your pain is more manageable and bit easy today. It seems to be a small win if not big with all the things you are dealing with currently. It is definitely a good sign that your appetite is back and it is nice to know you had some wonderful homemade food. Minestra di Pane and Beef Ragu made from scratch is definitely a good comfort food at its best. Hopefully your appetite should stick for more time and even it does not, the good part is your body is not rejecting any food today. Overall better day and good with rest, good food and getting things settled down. Wish you more great days ahead!

That was the night before yesterday. I only managed 4 hours of sleep last night, but it's better than nothing I suppose. I'm going to try to sleep better tonight as well. I really need to catch up on sleep. I haven't slept well this past month despite being exhausted. Yes, I enjoyed my mama's homemade food. I usually do, but when my appetite is here, I can't help but feel a bit proud. I haven't eaten anything today because my appetite is gone. I'm doing okay though, so I'll see how today goes. Thank you so much! You are so kind!
