Confusing Amazon Seller

An update on my Amazon order: seller replied back to my message and asked if I would like to cancel my order. I replied back to the message by stating that I would like to have it shipped. Amazon seller cancelled my order instead of shipping so I will have to purchase from a different seller, buy from a different store, try a shoe website, check out a shoe store. I went back to ask the seller why the order was cancelled instead of shipped, but the seller directed me to contact Amazon instead.
This was my first actual bad experience with a seller who didn't ship my order. Before, I only felt annoyed with bad quality items on Amazon selling for high prices, but not this time. Now I have to shop elsewhere for my black pumps for my job interview.
It makes me want to avoid third party Amazon sellers altogether.

This was my first and I'm already hesitant about making another purchase from a different third party seller. I ask questions sometimes before I purchase and if I don't hear back from the seller, I don't buy from them.

The seller was probably out of stock, just like all the websites so can't ship your order. Insisting they talk to you after canceling your order makes no sense. I would have ignored you after canceling the order.

Yes, that's right. I was confused by the message the seller sent. I won't be contacting Amazon. There is no point.

@yukimori Do Amazon sellers dropship American items too? My pumps are from an American brand.

That's so frustrating and now you have to spend more time and energy looking for the shoes you want.

I know. I tried to find the same pair on Amazon, but couldn't find them so I will have to look elsewhere today.

I don't blame you for wanting to avoid hit party sellers!

I'm hesitant after this experience. I don't want a repeat of this issue.

It's so weird, they could have come up with excuses why they couldn't ship the item. What a silent seller, and I thought "salesmen" were the most talkative people on earth.
But these days everyone can sell stuff online.
I hope you can get the shoes you need on time, for a good price too!
My mom was shipped the wrong item once but Amazon wouldn't refund or take it back because it was a food product (more like a supplement maybe) but she can't even use it because she has food intolerance. So she gave me this probiotic thing to make yogurt out of milk, gotta figure out how it works before it expires.

@lilacskies Yes, that’s quite amateurish of theirs at the very least. I wonder if it’s worth reporting to Amazon about this seller, probably not. Thanks, I really hope I’ll get the willpower to try this yogurt thing before expiration.

@somewitch And petty. I don't know why they acted like that with me. I don't need the drama, so probably not. At least they cancelled and I got my money back so there's that. You are welcome. Give it away if you don't want to try it! Lol!

I know. I was really confused by the seller's cancellation and message afterwards. I looked for the same pair on Amazon and couldn't find them so I'm going to have to check out a shoe store and just buy a different pair from a different designer. I need black pumps. That's it. I'm sorry your mother couldn't return it. I never ordered food on Amazon before so I didn't know about their return policy regarding that. Well, I hope you enjoy it! Please let me know how it goes!

It could be the seller is a drop shipper, buying someplace else and then selling it on Amazon. If they could not get what they wanted, they would not ship it to you. Of course they would not tell you that. If you can get something in person that would be good. Good luck on your interview.

Thank you so much. That's what someone else said on this post. I tried looking for the same pair on Amazon and other websites, but I couldn't find the same pair anywhere. I'm going to visit shoe stores this week. Thank you so much.

@lilacskies I am taking a break unless it is absolutely necessary in ordering anything right now with the way some of these deliveries are going. Fed Ex is not trust worthy at all in my area any more.

@kareng Are you having delivery problems often? UPS has been a hassle on my end.

There are, but they don't have this particular pair. This is an older model from years back.

I've never used eBay before. I only use Amazon for products that are sold out elsewhere or discontinued. Otherwise, I wouldn't even bother with Amazon at all.
