Tuesday (But Feels Like Monday)

Happy Tuesday Everyone! I almost said Happy Monday as it feels like Monday. Yesterday was a holiday and my daughter didn't have work so that just threw off my whole "what day it is". Although today is sunny it's COLD. I'm so over all this winter cold, nasty, snowy, icy weather. I would do the happy dance if spring actually came early.
The weekend came and went with a mess of snow and ice and then wind. Some of the wind gusts were almost hurricane force and knocked down trees and lots of power outages. Thankfully no power outage here.
With yesterday being a holiday I spent it with my two daughters. Both daughters did a quick trip to Target (I passed) and then came back and we had lunch together and gossiped 
Today life is back to normal. Household things to do, an order to pack up and get ready to mail, and of course the old "what's for dinner" decision.

Going OK here. I was happy to learn the storm here shouldn't be terribly dramatic We had a really windy day Sunday though, and I noticed yesterday that a tree had been knocked down..not on my property though fortunately

The wind here was really bad and I was really glad that we didn't get all those knocked down trees and power outages as I saw on the news. I feel so bad for those people who had trees topple on their houses and cars

I get thrown off on what day it is as well if my schedule is deviated from.. kids home from school of my husband home front work.
I was going to go to target Monday but they wound up not having the Billy shoes I needed (I looked online ahead of time) for my little one nor did kohls so after shopping all day at other places I came home and bought them online at kohls. Unfortunately they won’t be here until the 21st and we will be down south so I had to buy her a cheap pair of shoes at Walmart. She loves them though but they don’t work with her leg braces so she will be without them for a few days

I hope you have a safe trip and it's a shame that the shoes won't come in time for your trip. I bet the graduation will be awesome and you must be proud of your stepson.

Good morning. It started snowing around 1 am but it's fine, glittery snow. We have less than 1 inch on the ground. I tried to take a photo of the snow falling during the night but my phone only showed a white screen after I took the photo. I've never had that happen before. I stepped out on the porch a few minutes ago and took another photo for @TheHorse... He wanted to see the snow and asked for a photo yesterday. (By the time he asked for a photo the snow we had yesterday was already gone. Our high yesterday was 28F so the ground must still be too warm to keep the snow.)
We have limbs down in the back yard from the strong winds we had. I hope no more come down. I don't like cleaning them up. 
Pretty ordered some things for me from Amazon and they came yesterday. I've just finished putting them away. (New sleep shorts and some new underwear in case you were wondering. 
)

@Marilynda1225 I've never watched TikTok but I think I understand. I don't step outside when we have snow or ice. I fell a few years ago and got a bone bruise on a hip. I hobbled around for months with that.

We've been having similar weather here. Snow which is only a coating to maybe a few inches but nothing that requires a snowblower, etc. The icy stuff is a different story and I was lucky that my son in law came over and did the driveway and sidewalk for us. Too treacherous for me to even think about stepping outside or I would have been on my butt. Probably would have made a good Tik Tok though
I love Amazon and actually got a package yesterday too. Mine wasn't as exciting as yours (flatware./siverware for the kitchen)

@DaddyEvil I don't watch Tik Tok either but from what I know there are a lot of videos of people slipping and falling on the ice.
I've taken some nasty spills in my life too from icy weather. I'm lucky I never broke a bone.

It was "Family Day" here in Ontario yesterday but as I don't work it didn't feel like a holiday. Today is my bd but I don't have a cake so it won't be a holiday today either.
And there's so much snow everywhere, I can't even go to Tim Horton's (a few blocks from here) and at least get a donut.

For being a Monday, yesterday was a holiday, on a Tuesday, I had a really good and productive day.
I finished working early on Tuesday, as usual, and drove over to my doctor's office to drop off my application for his replacement, drove across the street and picked up a new (cheap) watch and then drove out to the butcher's place.
Our hind quarter was ready. I have to say that for the cost and for the cuts that we received this time around, I do not think that we will be buying our beef this way going forward, it is getting to costly for what we get.

Prices here are crazy too so I can certainly understand you not buying you beef again if the cost doesn't cover what you get. I've been getting my meat at Sams Club and it's pretty high quality and still within decent prices. Just to offset meat prices we've been eating a few meatless meals a week now and I'm really starting not to miss the meat.

A holiday can throw off one’s sense of what day it is. It has happened to me a time or two. Looks like you had a fun and cozy time with your daughters. It is always nice thing to do especially in what seems to be relentless winter weather. I am with you on being so over with cold and looking for some warm sunshine. It is 33C where I live. And well it would have been fun if we could have swap places. A little cold and snow would have helped me atleast for sometime. Well glad you do not have to deal with power outage but then the wind sounds to be little brutal. Hope the day goes smooth for you and family. Stay warm!
