How do you perk up a sidewalk - flowers of course!

The streets of the little town we visited on the weekend had lots of these on the sidewalk. It instantly perked up the mood as we walked around. I guess flowers and colors are a great combo to make it more relaxing to walk around or relax. Do you find flowers relaxing?

They’re surely sweet to the eye! I tend to see many in towns in the mountains, but I usually go there in summer so I guess it might be different in winter as they get a lot of snow. Here in the “plains” you can find small trees sometimes, while in city centers people often put blossoming pots outside.

@pitstop some flowers do or to me with a sensitive noise. i often walk by a flower shop, before cemetery here and one day when it was windy, i felt a little bit suffocated of intense flowers they were selling, especially, white chrysanthemum. if you can take it, good for you

Absolutely! Flowers definitely bring a charm and vibrancy to any place. I am sure most if not all love to see flowers and their beauty in any space. Their colours, scents and beauty can create a great calling atmosphere. I am sure most people like to walk more in that environment. It makes the walking more enjoyable. A place lined with flowers feels like more peaceful and attractive. And if it is shaped and well maintainedc, it adds more interest to the place. And if there are your favourite flowers, then it becomes a place to go for a great walk. Have a great day ahead!

For me, it depends on the type of flower you're talking about. The ones you're showing aren't something I'd consider "relaxing". Petunias (the purple, pink and red flowers) smell bad to me and so do the marigolds (the yellow flowers) in that pot. Both are good to keep insects and deer away from garden plants but that's the only good thing I can say about them. If you were talking about roses or almost any other flowering plant, then yes, those are relaxing and, normally, have a delightful odor.
