Wednesday Coffee Talk

Happy Wednesday Everyone! a least today I know what day it is 
Can't start off a post without mentioning the weather and I'm happy to say it's sunny, cold and the snow that was predicted for overnight and into tomorrow looks like it might miss us.
That's doubly good news because of it doesn't snow my son is coming to continue working on our stairs and upstairs hallway. The new flooring is ready to be picked up as well as the new vanity for the bathroom. So, the next few days will be busy.
Not only busy but that means my daughter will be working downstairs so my space invaded 
I have a grocery order coming this afternoon so we have lunch stuff, drinks and snacks for my son and grandson. Can't have the boys working without feeding them.
Tonight we're having my favorite dinner.....spaghetti with air fried eggplant cutlets. Yum!
With the price of everything going up and up we are eating meatless meals a few times a week now. I'm actually starting to not miss having meat with every meal.
That about sums up what's going on here.

Laying new flooring when one is living is not easy We had that experience a few years ago but our guy organized it well

I love eggplants. I also take less meat these days. Mainly fish and vegetables. Occasionally pork and chicken.

No place delivers here, but I enjoy the shopping. It has been cold but no precipitation today. We did not get even half of the snow that was predicted, and that is okay as well. We certainly got very cold temperatures.

That sounds yummy. The snow here is pretty anti climatic, but we will get some more tomorrow. I am doubting we will have more than 3 or 4 inches.

You have a busy day there, but good that the weather is on your side. I seriously have no space here - so unless I am home completely alone, my space is always invaded

I went hunting for food deals earlier (you're not kidding that the price of everything is up). I'm really trying to be better about making meals ahead of time . . . a good chunk of time is often not on my side . . . but today I'll try

I managed to go out today because we did NOT get the dumping of sn*w that was forecast (last night they had upped us to a “winter storm warning,” meaning they thought we’d get over four inches…we got about ONE inch). I had lunch and came home to a new shipment of tea. 
If the temperature forecasted is correct, I’ll probably stay home for a day or two because I do NOT like going out in that kind of cold.

It feels like the day of the week that it is-today, not yesterday.
I saw the little black forest hams that we like so much are on sale, and I just finished working and will go out and get a couple for the deep freezer.
I read our forecast for next week, and so far it is calling for temperatures above freezing, I will believe it when I see it, but hopefully it comes.

So far so good. I can't complain. I am going to get some work done here. I feel like I am so far behind here with all the unexpected and expected downtime. I'm feeling the crunch.

I woke up to take a pee break and just watched the snow plow go up and down our street a few times. They piled the snow in front of driveways so I'm glad we aren't going anywhere. I see neighbors already out shoveling.
I went in and paced back and forth across the kitchen for ten minutes to get in some exercise... Nothing else going on here.
