He Will No Longer Accompany Me. I Am Glad

Today early morning I left for a long walk as usual.
At the nearest square I came across one of my friends. He knows I walk for 5 kms every morning. Today he asked to accompany me to the jungle.
We went together. But I got bored. He walks too slowly whereas I walk at a fast speed.
When we got back home; I was not at all tired. I went to see him. He was completely exhausted
He saw me and promised me not to accompany me ever in future.
I'm so glad. Now on I won't have to get bored.

It's best to walk alone if someone is slowing you down.

I like to go for my morning walks alone. Most of my friends don't get up so early. Along with that they walk too slowly. I love to walk as fast as I can; and sometimes I run. Moreover none of them wants to go to the jungle. Some of them walk inside their houses.

@Shivram59 I like being alone, so when I go on walks, even those are done alone. I wouldn't want to go to the jungle either. That sounds really scary. I like walking in parks, but only when it's not crowded.

@Shivram59 No, we don't have jungles, but if we did, I would never go. That is what I meant. The same applies to forests. So many people walk in and don't walk out. You can encounter all kinds of things in such places. I don't like taking chances on things that are completely avoidable with the right decision. If that makes me a coward, so be it. Yes, I know about jungles. They are very intimidating.

@Shivram59 I don't know what the time the sun normally raises over there, but I wouldn't want to be in a jungle in the dark. I have no night vision.

I walk five kms up and then as many kms down. That means 10 kms every early morning. I walk at a fast pace and sometimes I run.Most of my friends walk in their houses. Thay can't even think of getting up at 4 a.m. They don't like going to the jungle. That's the reason I don't like walking with them.

@kaylachan The sun rises at nearly 5 a.m. I get up one hour before it. I enjoy the dawn. There is nothing scary at the jungle I visit every morning.Only small animals are found there; such as jjackals; foxes; hyaenas etc. They themselves are scared of us..

I don't like them accompany me to my destination; the jungle. They walk too slowly and insist me to leave the jungle soon. They get bored there and I get bored with them.

@Shivram59 I can understand that. When I used to skate, I had friends who just kept talking and liked to do slow rounds around the rink . . . it cut into my practice time and I hated it. Right - best for people like us to go solo

I like to walk briskly and reciting the shlokas( verses) of our scriptures. Sometimes I run as there is no traffic at that time. None of my friends walks fast. They walk very slowly. It's boring to me.

@much2say I understand. But skating is a much fast activity. I just walk at a fast pace. My friends can walk fast; but don't like it. They say I don't walk ; I run.

Yes. And I like to walk alone. My friends walk slowly and I have to slow down my pace to walk with them which is something I don't like.

I understand. My daughter and I used to go canoeing every Sunday afternoon. Once, my wife took Pretty to the zoo but I still wanted to go canoeing. A friend asked to go with me. He wasn't used to paddling a canoe so I did all the work... By the time we came home he was complaining about sore muscles and I kept giggling... Pretty never complained and she actually helped me paddle the canoe.

You and your daughter have got used to it. You both can paddle whereas your friend can't. I'm sure he will never ask to accompany you to the canoe.

@jstory07 Of course; I can see them; though I have to wait on the branch of a tree. Sometimes they are seen moving from a bush to another. Sometimes I can't spot them at all; especially when they see me. If they see me; they don't come out of their hideouts.

I get up at 4a.m.in the morning.All shops are closed at that time. And there was no traffic on the road. You walk with your husband and I walk alone.My friends walk slowly and don't like going to the jungle. They think it's childish. I don't think so.

Walking should be fast. Otherwise it Is not a physical exercise. You should try to walk as fast as you can. Slow walk is for old persons.
