I went to the big Tesco again this afternoon. My Mum was going to come with me to get a pair of shoes, but then she changed her mind, so I went on my own again. When I got there I posted some letters first, then I got rid of the soft recycle. Then I went up on the lift. I've got a bit of dry skin on the ball of my right foot and it's been hurting me. It was hurting me the whole way round. Added to that, my trolley had a wonkey wheel and I couldn't be bothered to swap it! First I got 8 second class stamps for Syd, then I got some flowers. I got an Artists and Illustrators magazine, 3 packets of seaweed thins and 2 bottles of water. My Mum wanted a chicken salad sandwich to share with Syd for tonight's dinner to go with a mini pizza, so I got one of those. I got 2 lots of pads for my Mum, and then I went to the fruit and veg section where I got a small pot of pomegranate seeds, two pots of edamane beans (but in these they are still in their pods), some blueberries, 2 lots of strawberries for my Mum, spring onions, some little gem lettuces and tomatoes for my Mum. I then got myself a carton of no added sugar soy milk for me. I went to the second fruit and veg isle and got carrots, bananas, a red grapefruit and some walnuts. Then I went round to the third fruit and veg isle and got a savoy cabbage for me. Then I went to the end of the isle to look for some shiitake mushrooms. I didn't think they had any to start with and I was thinking which mushrooms I could have instead, but then I saw them on the top shelf! So I got those. Then I went and got 2 bottles of milk for my Mum, my yoghurts and 2 strawberry rice puddings for my Mum and Syd for their pudding on Sunday. After that I went to the vegan and ready meals isle and got my pizza, some tofu and 4 packets of meat free bites for me. My Mum wanted some chicken dinners for Sunday, but I couldn't get any, so I had to get some beef ones instead. Next I went and got some vinegar for my Mum and some red wine vinegar for me for another experiment dinner I hope to do some time! I'm trying out some different recipes from the Vegan Food magazine! then I went to the other end of the isle to look for some cumin seeds. I didn't think I was going to be able to get these either, but then I saw them at the end, which was strange because they usually go in alphabetical order. Then I went and got some brown rice, red lentils, some packets of easy miso, two packets of udon noodles, some light soy sauce and some dark soy sauce. After that I went to the canned isle and got some potato and leek cup-a-soup, a curry pot noodle, a tin of salmon and some cockles, all for Syd. Next I went to the cakes, and got some Apple turnovers for my Mum and Syd for their supper tonight, and some Mr Kipling Bramley Apple pies. Then it was off to the crisps isle. I got a multipack of Walkers crisps, some no added sugar Ribena and a tube of plain pringles. When I'd got those it was off to the teas and coffees isle, and I got some mixed nuts and raisins for everyone, and some Matcha and Camomile tea bags for me. Then it was off to the cereals isle to get some honey cheerios for Syd. I went to the frozen section next, but all I needed to get from here was some battered cod. So then I went and got some toilet paper for me, some kitchen roll, some tissues, some washing up liquid and some wild bird seed. And then I went to pay. It came to just over £150, but then with club card and a money off voucher for the walnuts it dropped to just over £140. I had to buy another bag (30p), not because everything couldn't fit in the 6 bags I'd taken as such, but because all the things that I couldn't put in a bag (kitchen roll, toilet paper, Mum's pads and bird seed) were taking up so much room in the trolley, that the bags, especially the ones nearer to those items, were very squashed up and it was hard to get stuff into them! When I'd payed, I went and sat on a bench for a few moments. It only took me about 10 minutes longer than usual, with my hurting foot, as it was 4:05pm when I sat on the bench. At about 4:15pm I went to swap my book at the Tesco book swap. I found a book about British trains, so I got that for Syd. I then went, slowly as my foot was still hurting me, down on the lift. It was still only 4:20pm when I got into the undercover car park, so I sat on a bench for a bit. When Syd came we put everything in the boot of the car and went home. I gave Mum her change, club card and shopping list, then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. I couldn't wait to sit down and take the weight off my feet! What have you lot been getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a great evening/night.

We go to the big Tesco every Wednesday. I did get a lot. I've been doing/am going to do some experimental recipes that I've never done before so I've been getting some ingredients for those. I hope you managed to get the shoes that you wanted.

You would never manage the shopping without a list, would you?

I have spent most of the morning on the phone, trying to get a few things cleared up. I have spoken mostly with bots.

Oh, no! I hate it when that happens! Why does that always have to happen?

Oh, I know, tell me about it! And having a trolley with a wonkey wheel didn't help either! It was a nightmare! But I put some Nivea on my foot and it feels a lot better now.
