Do you believe Trump really said or implied that Ukraine started the war with Russia?

I am reading on some websites that Trump said that Ukrane "shouldn't have started it," or something to that effect, referring to the war with Russia. Further, I have read that former vice-president Mike Pence, chastised Trump for his statement, saying that ending the war has to be based on truth, not lies. As one commenter quipped, it is possible that Poland invaded Germany, starting WWII, but I doubt that as well. I'll be checking out Snopes after Guitar Center. I wanna see if Trump really said what he is being quoted as saying. I think there's actually audio and video, but AI could be involved. For the record, I Snopesed the MSM claim (from several decades ago, I think), that Trump's own mother called him an idiot, not suited for public office. Snopes found that that claim can NOT be proven. Here's a link to a piece about the "Ukrane started the war" thing. Do you thik it could be fake?

@NJChicaa Hitler had control of the German military by the mid-1930s. I am not sure that Trump has control of the military.

Let's put it this way Does Trump even know how old he is? I found this for you
President Donald Trump this week falsely blamed Ukraine for starting the war that has cost tens of thousands of Ukrainian lives, causing outrage and alarm in a country that has spent nearly three years fighting back a much larger Russian military. Trump ca

@JudyEv I was cool with "Peace Parks" in my youth. But large rallies did not seem inviting to me.

@TheHorse I understand. I'd be feeling helpless. I'm not one to join rallies or whatever.

It's odd that all of this is happening because a reality show host and failed businessman wanted to stay out of prison.

@TheHorse when you step back and recognise that people today are far stupider than their ancestors, so easily led, nothing can surprise. The fact is that decent people with good intentions don't take advantage of the morons and post truth and real.

He really did say that. It's on video with his real image, his real voice, and his real mannerisms. And, he seems to really believe it. Sadly, his supporters will most likely choose to believe the lie too. I am sure he will claim the USA started World War II next.

On another note, I am agreeable with your Blond Thump for deporting illegal immigrants (especially Indians). Nowadays, general behavior has been, have kids, educate them, send them to America...as if that is what makes them great and successful parents. Jobs are for locals. Not for outsiders. Illegal ones should not usurp them by agreeing to lower wages. No country can plan for excessive guests. The unplanned guests make food, medical, gas prices go up and up... This pulling in relatives is not a patriotic thing at all. As to Ukraine war, I could not get the exact reason Russia started it. Somebody tried to explain. Like post WWII, Russia took extreme measures to recoup. So limited resources generated were deployed in areas that would yield astonishing results. Ukraine was the beneficiary. It was to pay heavy dividends so that Russia could start developing other regions. That did not happen. When Russia disintegrated, Russia expected Ukraine to honor its now implied commitments. Ukraine started to sell the nuclear power to other European nations, denying Russia its due share. When issues were raised, the issue of sovereignity also came up. In some instances, Russia and Ukraine became competitiors

I saw the video where he actually said those words. It’s shocking to hear him spout such rubbish, when clearly Putin invaded Ukraine. It’s great that he want to end the war, but he’s going about it in the wrong way. Siding with Putin and alienating Europe doesn’t give us much hope.

This move was stolen from Hitler's playbook. Adolph claimed that Poland provoked the invasion. Any remaining Nazis should sue him for Intellectual Property Theft.

You have to consider the context, which is what EVERYONE misses. What was the reason Russia invaded? Because Ukraine wanted to enter NATO. Russia opposed that. Zelenskyy did what he wanted anyway. Russia responded. Now, was it RIGHT for Russia to invade? That can be debated. Was it fine for Zelenskyy to pursue something his sovereign nation wanted to pursue? That can ALSO be debated. How one defines, "started it," can be debated as well. Often in life bad things happen because one, with good intentions or bad intentions, puts themselves in a situation for bad outcomes from what they decide to do. With anything, one has to step back, see the forest for the trees, and examine the bigger picture in order to get to the bottom of solving things. I mean, look at the U.S. We were attacked by the British because we decided we wanted our independence. Who started the war? We did, technically. The British reacted to our decision, but the catalyst was our decision to do something the British didn't like. In our case, we won the fight of course. But it doesn't change the context of who started what regardless of who fired the first bullet. Someone calls your wife a wench and you punch him in the face. Who started the fight? The one who threw the first punch or the one who made the first punch necessary? It's all in how you look at it.

@porwest I don't know where you got lost in the mix, here. I NEVER said Putin was right. I NEVER said I supported Russia's invasion. I NEVER said I supported Putin or Russia. The latter part of your comment isn't even worth responding to. --------Every time you get hit with the truth, you say, "It's not worth responding to."
