Thank Goodness Mitch McConnell Isn't Going to Run for Re-Election

Mitch McConnell is a Senator from my state of Kentucky that has been in his government position for 40 years.
He's a Republican, but lately he hasn't been acting like one. He absolutely hates President Trump so he's been doing everything possible to stand against him and vote against his nominations for Cabinet positions.
His wife's family owns a Chinese shipping firm and McConnell has steered government contracts their way, making them super wealthy. She was also once appointed to a Cabinet position.
He's a swamp creature. Term limits were meant for people like McConnell.
HIs health has been failing and he really should step down now rather than finish our his term which doesn't end until 2026.
McConnell, Pelosi, Sanders, Schumer, and their ilk are the poster children for why we should have term limits for our politicians.
Ditch Mitch! He announced today that he won't be seeking re-election in 2026.

I have been calling for him to go for a long time. He's just not fit to be in office anymore. That ship has sailed and I honor his service and welcome his departure...
Especially since I also think some of his health issues have affected his noggin.

Yes they should either have age limits or term limits, seriously one member was in a nursing home with dementia and still in Congress, that doesn't even make sense.

I agree that he should step down. All of those you mentioned and a few more should step down. They have taken advantage of the system for way too long, i.e. inside trading has made several of them multi-millionaires. I'm glad Trump is shaking things up.

McConnell has been there way too long. If we have term limits for the mayor then we should also have term limits for the congressional representatives.
Of course, if he steps down now, then Andy Beshear appoints a successor until the next election….
