Another busy week has passed, I am ready for a day off.
I'm not sure how long it took the former department manager to learn how to "work this department" but yesterday the stock manager told me when she finished up on the floor she'd come back, I was thinking "okay?"
She came back to my department a few hours later and said " I'm here to help you" I replied "with what?" I had already gotten everything major finished, and the small stuff with the help of my morning department employee, she reacted with "oh okay."
I've only worked 4 truck days, day one learning where everything was in my department, day two when was the best time to get it on the floor before customers got in my way, day three I told the assistant manager he didn't have to help, and now I ditched the stock manager on the forth day.
However I did know the 2 past women that were there, since September.
I turned in a resume, I do have 3 years of experience in this field, that doesn't count running my own businesses for over 20 years. I mean they hired me for management to begin with?!?!
I'm not bragging but my dad instilled in me growing up how to work. Get the job done and be kind to everyone, even those who don't deserve it.
How's your week been going?

I'm glad things are falling in line for you so quickly.
Everything here is going okay. The snow has now turned to ice and I keep seeing/hearing cars slipping and sliding around. I'm glad we don't need to be out in it. Today the high here is only supposed to reach 17F but starting tomorrow, we'll be above freezing during the daytime and Sunday, Monday and Tuesday we're supposed to reach 60F... Of course, the nightw will still be below freezing but getting rid of some of this will be wonderful!

OMG it's been so cold way down here. Last night in the teens but warmth is coming back Monday.

Your dad sounds like a wise man. I think I would have told her Thanks, but things here seem to be under control

I know she was happy that she didn't have to do anything.
