A cool clothing hack

Ladies, you know those ribbons that are attached to the shoulder of tops or blouses sometimes? They're to hang the top on a hanger so it won't poke out the material in things that are jersey or cotton. But I always hated when the ribbons would come out of the top and be seen which is embarrassing. So, I figured out a way to still be able to hang the top with the ribbon without the chance of the ribbon showing. I cut the ribbons off, then resewed them to the inside of the top at the arm pit. It can still be hung without harm to the garment, but there's no chance of the ribbons showing on the outside. It works really well. Would this be a help to you? I hope the photo shows what I'm writing about.

That's a really good idea. Those ribbons are annoying anyway, may as well move them to put them to use.

They're perfect for hanging when they're sewed under the arm pit and don't show.

@MarieCoyle It didn't take long to sew them on a different place and they don't show when I'm dressed.

I always hated trying to be sure they weren't hanging out.

That's a really good idea. I'm afraid I usually just cut them off.

I did, too, but I don't want to fold the tops in a drawer, so this works well.

Not one I've come across in my wardrobe! Just as well, as my sewing skills aren't up to this

I don't buy or own anything that has strings on them.

Most of my tops that are tshirt type knit fabrics have the ribbons.

I always cut mine off, I don't hang anything by them, my closet is too full, but I can usually find an extra spot in a dresser drawer.

I have less drawer space than closet space.
