Most Productive Day!

That’s a sunset from a trip to the Smokies a few years ago. The sun has set on this week, and yesterday was a most productive one.
In an earlier discussion I mentioned waiting for Social Security to call me back. They did, and told me what I needed to do. So, on Friday…
1. I went to lunch, filling up my lunch card. Tomorrow’s lunch is free! 
2. Took the luggage (a rolling bag) back because it hurt my back more than helped it on the trip. Thank God, it was just purchased a month ago, and I kept all the tags and the receipt, so I got a full refund.
3. Got a haircut. The young man who did it was superb!
4. Went to Office Depot, printed the Social Security form I needed, filled it out, and dropped it off at the office. I even gave it to a real person!! 
Today, after lunch, I even managed to sneak in to a car wash and get the first 70 layers of salt off the car! The line was long, but not impossible. I think I was there about 20 minutes, including the actual wash.
Here’s some great news for you (northern hemisphere only): March 1 is next Saturday, and that marks the start of meteorological spring! (It’ll probably sn*w. 
)

That’s the second time this month. Last time it was yellow from pollen…this time it was gray from the salt.

My car is covered in mud from all the rain, the drive to my house is a dirt road. I'll wash it when it's not too cold, maybe next week.

Well, looks like you definitely had a very productive and satisfying day! It is always gratifying and a win when you return something that does not work for you and get a full refund. You must feel some weight off your shoulders, with social security paperwork sorted out, especially when you were able to hand it to someone. A free lunch and fresh haircut- those small joys at times make a big difference. Washing car after the whiter salt buildup is good way to start fresh. And yes, with spring near the core, winter can still have one last surprise up its sleeve. Enjoy the weekend!

Nice! We stay in the 50s and 60s during the daytime the next 10 days. Of course the nights get nippy with freezing temps but that's normal for this time of year.
You did more than me today. I was dizzy so stayed close to my bed all day. I don't like falling, even when I stay in the house.

I know. It has sn*wed on Derby Day here, which is the first Saturday in May. (We’ve also had tornadoes on Derby Day…our weatherman refers to that as “whatever Derby wants to do.” )

@FourWalls Thank you. I'm still in bed. I just woke up a little while ago and haven't tried to get up to get "supper" yet. I asked Pretty if she was making anything this evening and she brought me two chocolate chip cookies. (Today was her 36th birthday and chocolate chip cookies was what she wanted. ) Those two cookies aren't enough of a "meal" for me so...

You were productive and busy!
I washed my car about a week ago. Halfway home, it sleeted again and I got behind a salt truck. Ugh. Monday it might hit 50 degrees here so I will try to get it washed again then. I try not to let the salt stay on the car too long, but it was still slushy salt yesterday. Today, it is just about all gone.
