I don't know anyone who doesn't appreciate music no matter what genre they listen to. My favorite is Classic Rock, but I've enjoyed listening to other kinds. I believe a good song touches your emotions in some way no matter the origin, it's really in the "ears" of the listener. So, let's see what you think of these "music-titled songs" and the artists or bands who recorded them.
*Comments on my song choices welcome (even if they hurt your ears) lol
TRIVIA CHALLENGE
***Here is today's music challenge for those who like to figure out who the artist, song or facts are from the clues provided... Words with "quote marks" provide some hints!
1. LISTEN TO THE MUSIC (1971)
This tune was recorded by a great rock band named The Doobie Brothers. It was the band's first hit reaching number 11 on the music charts. Tom Johnson wrote many of the group's songs in the early days but touring and health issues forced him to leave the band. The band "replaced Johnson" with this "piano playing singer" with a "soulful voice." After leaving The Doobie Brothers this artist enjoyed a fairly successful solo career featuring his #4 charting signature song "I Keep Forgettin' (we're not in love anymore)." Remember this 80's tune?
-Can you name the singer?
2. DANCE TO THE MUSIC (1968)
This Top Ten tune put this band on the map. The group had a "particular brand of funky soul," and in "Dance to the Music" each band member gets to introduce his instrument. A top act in the 60's and 70's they followed up this song with hits like, "Everyday People (#1), Family Affair (#1) and the band's Woodstock classic I Want to Take You Higher."
-Do you remember the name of this band?
3. I CAN HEAR MUSIC (1969)
This song is a departure from this "California group's" early tunes about "girls, surfing, and cars." The group is comprised of "three brothers, their cousin, and high school friend." The band's song "Good Vibrations" became widely acclaimed as one of the finest and most important works of the Rock era. Although only the band's drummer was an avid surfer, the group's music helped popularize the sport with songs like "Surfin' and Surfin Safari."
-Can you name this California based band?
***Your getting some correct answers will be "music to my ears!"

Now those are some great "song and dance" answers.

One of my favorite skits with him providing vocals from one recording session to the next.
I never knew Michael Mc Donald sang background vocals on Chris Cross's "Ride Like the Wind."
Pretty soon we can finally 'SMILE' when winter is over!
Thanks for visiting!

@grenery8 I think Madonna's older songs were better.
