Do you celebrate St. Patricks Day?

I like to wear green on the day and make a meal that is Irish. I will perhaps have a green beer or maybe some Guiness. Aldi has a St.P's Day shirt. I may buy it. What about you? Are you Irish on St.P's day? Will you do anything to celebrate?

If we remember we might wear green or drink a toast. Our son lives in Ireland so it will be big there.

Actually, it is celebrated more in the US than Ireland, strange but true. American's don't typically drink a lot on a routine basis so they are always looking for an excuse to do it. Plus lots of Irish extraction here.

@snowy22315 There seems a lot of Irish extraction everywhere, including Australia.

I used to wear green at school so I wouldn’t get pinched. I don’t know if kids still follow that tradition, but I wasn’t keen on being pinched! It was kind of fun to get in the spirit though by wearing green.

I am Irish and I will wear my green and take out the little china bell that my aunt brought me back from Tipperary when she visited last.

Sadly, they didn't have the St. Patrick's Day shirt available today. Off to Amazon I go.I'll slide down a shamrock

@snowy22315 I am Irish and will not be celebrating. It’s just a lot of silly nonsense really and of course Patrick wasn’t even Irish.

No, I don't celebrate it, but a lot of people wear green and there are a lot of sales at cafes and stores for the holiday.

My husband likes to have a traditional mean and have guiness. My mother likes to make everything green at hers by adding green food dye. I don’t let her do it to anything I bring but I did find it fun when I was a green to have green milk and green mashed potatoes etc.

I know the corned beef thing isn't "authentic" but that's the meal we do on St. Patrick's Day. And I will wear green - just because.

I may wear green. Sometimes I make corned beef with cabbage, potatoes and carrots. I celebrated it more in the past.

Yeah, but guess what I found out from a genuine Irish person living in Ireland, they don't eat corned beef and cabbage. That is an American invention. They do eat Colcannon though Maybe I will try making that this year.

I'm Irish every day and yes, I celebrate St. Patricks Day. One of my favorite things to do when I used to live in New York was go to the St. Patricks parade in Manhattan. It's definitely a corned beef and cabbage day here along with Irish soda bread.
