Greetings from the dealership! Traveling means oil changes. Oil changes mean long life for the car.
The other day @TheHorse said something about a little old lady trying to run him down in a parking lot. I mentioned that I tend to back in to the parking spots, to which he replied something about that’s how “entitled” people park. No, Pony, THIS (see photo) is how “entitled” people park. 
The weather is so nice here today, although the wind blowing still keeps a little chill in the air. The warmth is winning out…today. It’s supposed to be cooler tomorrow. 
Next week I have my DexaScan that was postponed in January because of the weather. (The VA hospital here is on a hill, with a very winding and VERY narrow driveway going up to it, so after the sn*w in January they postponed the procedure.) After that, I might head out again. A lot of it depends, of course, on the weather.

Backing into parking spaces is recommended for safety reasons. There are lots of accidents caused by people reversing blind out of a parking space. I’m with you on this. It’s also how the military park for a faster getaway. 
We have major problems here with fines for not paying correctly to park. Many car parks are run by private companies whose sole aim seems to be to issue as many fines as possible. If you’re too late in buying your ticket, or overstay your visit, or put in the wrong details, you’ll get issued with a £100 fine. It’s a national scandal!
I’ve no idea what a DexaScan is, but good luck with it.

@FourWalls Oh right. Yes, I know what that’s all about. Well, not all, but it’s osteoporosis, right? It affects the women here too. I’m not sure scans are done routinely, but it’s definitely available. I hope it goes well.

Thank you! A DexaScan (maybe better known as a bone density scan) is one of the easiest tests you can have! It’s some kind of CT thing that measures bone density. It’s recommended for women, especially, over 50 because of the large amount of women in America with bone loss. The only prep is to NOT take calcium pills or multivitamins with calcium in them the day before and day of.

@FourWalls That's where they are here. The far end of the lot has restaurants on the other side of a drive. So mostly out of the way.

At least the truck is parked far enough away from the business that the parking lot shouldn't fill up before the driver is done shopping and leaves the lot. If the owner/driver had parked close to the building, then I'd call them entitled!
I usually try to find a parking spot so I can drive in and park so that my car is facing out on the other side of the spaces so I can drive right out of the space I end up in. 
(My car has been hit before by parking like most people do in a parking lot. The idiot backed up too far and ran right into my car and then tried to tell me he hadn't seen it. Of course he hadn't seen my car... He didn't look behind him one time while backing up. We were still in the car when he backed into us.)
The prediction for my area was that we might reach 60F by late this afternoon. Right now it is 66F here. And it's only 1:12 pm.
