Our Leap Year daughter has a birthday today!

Our Tammy only gets a real birthday every four years. We're going to meet her and her family at Myrtle Beach tomorrow for a seafood dinner at a delicious crab legs buffet.
Our son Robert's going to meet us there, then Dale and I will spend a couple of nights at their house in Charleston.
Of course I've been remembering all day the morning Tammy was born. I was in labor only an hour and a half...we said she was in a hurry to get here and she hasn't slowed down yet!
She's always been the one to organize and make things happen in our family. When I'd come home from work, I never knew where her furniture would be arranged in her room!
Her health issues have slowed her down some over the years, but she'll always be our little spit fire. We're so blessed to have her.
Do you have a Leap Year relative?

Thanks, she has the American Indian coloring from Dale's side, and of course we think she's beautiful.

@lilacskies She's 53, but doesn't look it. They're a long ways from us, but Myrtle Beach and Charleston are great places to enjoy.

No, no one in our family even has a February birthday. I'm so glad you are all going to be together. Nothing better.

It's even more special because they live seven hours away, so we don't get to see them as often as we'd like.

Happy birthday to Tammy!
No leap year birthdays in our family but Pretty had a birthday on the 22nd of this month. She turned 36. It doesn't seem like that many years have gone by, really.
I hope you and Dale have a good outing tomorrow and enjoy your stay with Robert and his family.

@1creekgirl You're welcome.
I understand. I was a father at 16 and then again when I was 23. It still doesn't seem possible.

Thanks. Robert has to come back home to his house near us tomorrow night, but Dale and I are going to Charleston to spend the weekend with Tammy and her husband and teenager.
It seems strange that she has a 15 year old at 53 and also a 30 year old and a 35 year old daughter. She was first a teen mom, then a mom at almost 40.

We love Myrtle Beach. We ate at Benjamin's Original seafood buffet this afternoon and it was delicious as usual, but way too expensive. It was $140 for two of us. Our daughter, her husband, and our son went on a casino cruise afterwards and the water was so rough, they're all deathly sick!
