When I visited the coffee plantation in the hills I found first the pods are green. Then they turn brown and black. Lastly they are send to factories where they are crushed into powder form with all the flavours. It is fascinating.

We had coffee plants in our tea estate residence in north Bengal. It was interesting for me to see the coffee pods green and how they turned brown. In those days we didn't have instant coffee. We used to crush the seeds manually in the crusher.

I always enjoy finding out more about how products go from their original state to something we can eat or drink.

I only saw some photos. Some pods are red. But it will be interesting to see the real pods
