A job for only 12 days, but pays in the 4-digits

Would you take it??
I know I would! And I will.
This is nothing new, Mom and Uncle Gary go to Florida once in a blue moon to check on their houses, and leave me in charge to take care of everything here at the house.
This time around might be different and kinda challenging, because we’re in this strange, new country house that I can’t stand, I never learned where anything was because I just didn’t have any interest, and we have a new member of the cat family that my mom adopted and he comes with his own set of problems. He’s been diagnosed with Feline AIDS, unfortunately, and we keep him separate from all the other cats in his own little room. But he’s an outside cat, so they put him in a carrier and take him outside too. Back and forth.
His name is BlackJack.
I will have to do this with him daily. Along with all the other household jobs.
But the pay is awesome and couldn’t have come at a better time. My advertising job for my brother is on the rocks. It’s nothing I’ve done, he loves the ads I create and put up for him.
But then he gets into these “moods” and goes silent (Scorpio) and shuts everyone and everything out, INCLUDING MY PAY.
NOT the time to be pulling this crap when I have an apartment about to call me any day now and I need enough $$ to move in.
So every cent I earn from this short-time house and cat-sitting gig will be going into my apartment envelope and will not be touched until I get that call. And it’s a lot of cents.
Wish me luck, friends. This time around might not be so routine, especially dealing with BlackJack.
Photo is of him sitting on my uncle’s lap.
I’ll be back after the weekend to answer past replies, and then they’ll be leaving next week for Fl, and the job begins.

Would you take a short term gig if you knew it wasn’t gonna be an ongoing job, but the pay was great? Or do you care more about consistency and reliability when it comes to working a job?
See y’all and be back soon
My mom is paying me $20 right now just to drive her to the hair and nail salon to get the works (waste of $) but hey that’s her choice.

Easier than I remember.
Or maybe I’m just getting younger, and strongggger.

I’ve already found another job. I know a guy who does a lot of work with forums and posting and he hooked me up.
So while my brother is off in Silent Land trying to figure out the meaning of life or whatever the heck he does, I’m already gone.
Consistency is key. When it’s not there, I walk.
Thank you @grenery and WOW would I love to tell you the name of the apartments I’m moving to because you’d really get a kick out of it.. but I don’t want to post it publicly.
Once I’m there, I will PM you with the name of the place.
You’ll love it.
P.S. Taurus happens to be one of my favorite signs. Xx

House-sitting for a tidy sum? It sounds like a great “job”.
If you don’t have anything more pressing to do atm, why not?
Sad to hear about the cat, but at least he is getting special treatment.

Yep, he’s from our old neighborhood and we brought him along when we moved out here to this strange land of nothingness.
I thought I’d have my own little cave all to myself but we both know how that turned out.
No worries, Ors.
Plan B is already in progress and in a month or two I’m outta here.
Thank u xx

Thanks Judy, I agree. This is a short term gig but it’s repetitive, meaning every 5-6 months. Otherwise, they would have to pay a pet sitter, and our cats hate strangers.
I think most do.

Thanks @Desywe
And he is doing just fine. He’s not physically sick, but he is a carrier.
