I'm Gonna Need a Walmart

I thought it was a bit of a funny poll question this morning on Bing, "Would you sign up to live on another planet?" For one thing, isn't that a bit of an open-ended question that requires more than just a simple yes or no answer?
I mean, what kind of planet are we talking about? One with harsh conditions like Mars? Or one of those distant earthlike planets? Is it already a developed world? What kinds of technology or amenities might it have? What are the opportunities there? Can I find work? Will I be living in a house or a cave or a hut or something? Will I have to hunt for food? What kind of animals are on this planet anyway? Will something potentially eat me?
Adventure is one thing. Maybe for a few weeks. Perhaps even a month. But really, I have gotten quite used to my creature comforts. Folks, I'm going to at least need a Walmart.

Will I have access, for the rest of my life, to my normal medications? If I won't, then my life won't last very long and it definitely wouldn't be fun!

@Laurakemunto True, basic necessities are a must before anyone should volunteer to move to another place, no matter where it is.

My husband asked me about that when they were trying to find volunteers to live on Mars. I was like sure if I could basically pack my house to go and get a steady supply of books and music because I'm not missing that stuff. It would be great for the extreme introverts and even then I think it would be harsh.

@Laurakemunto When they wanted people for Mars they had full disclosure, there would be no coming back it was a permanent stay and if I remember right, you couldn't take anything with you. This was a few years ago and I don't think anything actually came out of it.

A Walmart, a Red Lobster and a Longhorn Steakhouse please. Oh, and a Chinese restaurant and good pizza place.
