Does any senior here get cheap wifi, as a discount to seniors. I see all kinds of advertizing for cheap internet. But I don't know if it is really real. I know years agao mylot was the go to site for answers. I see so many ads, and just wonder how many here get cheap internet? We are having fair weather, after a lot of rain.

You get what you pay for. We don't have discounts for internet, not anymmore. A few years ago, during the hight of COVID programs were put in place offering lw cost interent for those who were from low-income homes, but it's sense dried up. Now price is based on internet speed.

I think @kaylachan has the best explanation. I knew I had seen offers locally through my provider at one point but no longer. My internet keeps going up and up. Almost tripled in nine years. I would look into Verizon but it does not come to my town.

They are actually getting rid of AT&T internet in our area. It really stunk, but it’s all that was available. I hope that you can find a discount.

I don't know of a discount for internet either. We were limited here and those companies that did have service here did not provide good service. We installed Starlink late last year and it has been super fast and reliable. It is also less than what we were paying before, but you have to purchase the equipment and install it yourself.

@popciclecold Yes, it would be unless you had someone to install for you. It will save us money in the long run by getting rid of Hughes.net and Direct TV.

I have seen those programs offered, but I tend to think you probably get what you pay for in that regard
