Didn't Plan on Physical Labor Today

So my husband had asked if I would be around the house today because he said he wanted me to be here since he was cutting trees down along the back fence row...in case of an emergency. I told him fine, no problem.
He did not say he needed me to move limbs and pile them up or ask me to do that. But, that happened! He ended up blocking our driveway to where we could not get the van or the truck out, so HAD to clear off the driveway at least. You know, in case we had to go somewhere in case of an emergency. I think he is counting on an emergency, the way he has been talking!
I told him around 3:30 that we were both going inside to take a break. And then I agreed to come back out and help him finish. He said no, I want this finished now and stayed outside to finish it up. He asked me to bring the saw to the house, which I gladly did and he finished the clearing of the driveway.
I was already sore yesterday from moving all the boxes and packing and unpacking for the event I went to on Saturday. I know I will barely be able to move tomorrow morning. I've been having back spasms since I came inside and they are not letting up. I am fixing to head for a long and hot soak with some Epson salts!
That's how my day ended up. How was your day?

Took she child to school, and then got gas and came back, only to have to go back out to Lowes. Had to go by the pharmacy and they only had one prescription ready. so we brought tools back and I started laundry then we went back to town, and hit up the pharmacy for the rest of our meds, and went by Dollar General. Went and got she child, stopped by Dollar General again so she could get a snack and came to the house. I did some catching up online then made dinner and dessrt.

@kareng Yep. Today was less busy. We took she child to school and came home and slept most of the day. The lingering of this cold/flu/chest thing is taking its sweet time.

Looks like you had quite a rough and exhausting day! It is funny how “just be around in case of an emergency” turned out to be a full-blown yard work. It does happen at times to all of us. Clearing the driveway definitely became a necessity, especially if an actual emergency had come up! Your husband’s urgency to quickly finish everything must have made things more tiring. Hopefully, that hot soak with Epsom salts should help those back spasms. Moving boxes and packing from Saturday probably didn’t help either. Your body definitely needs some rest and it is overdue. Tomorrow perhaps could be a struggle, but hopefully, you can take it slow and easy. Maybe your husband can return the favour and help you out if you’re too sore! My day was just normal although I do see lot of drama at office. Take care!
