What's going on the dinner table tonight? Share with us!
I have ground turkey in the fridge that needs to be used. I was vacillating between meatballs (I have leftover penne in the fridge) and tacos but I'm going with tacos. I had lasagna rollups for lunch so I don't really want Italian again tonight for dinner. To go with I will make the Gulf Coast Style White Rice from Rick Bayless' Mexican Everyday cookbook. I also have some black beans left over from the enchilada meatloaf last week so I will mash them up and make some version of refried beans.
That's what is happening here. What are YOU having? I want to know!

While you were vacillating, I’ve been salivating.
I had chicken stroganoff tonight. Never had it for years, and it was always beef stroganoff, but now I’ve turned to chicken, and I can’t get enough. It must be the mustard or paprika that is tickling my taste buds. I had it with penne pasta tonight, but sometimes it’s with rice, just to mix it up. Delicious!

We had baked chicken with lemon butter sauce, green beans--and I had a small salad, son had the homemade mac and cheese that I made him yesterday with his. He absolutely has to eat every bite of that mac and cheese when I make it.
With the pack of kids I raised, and the grands, I have wondered--how much macaroni and cheese have I made over the years? I bet it's a LOT!!
