I think this might be quite old

One of the things I like about house-sitting is viewing the different décor in the houses. If it is an old family home, there might be antique pieces from a generation or two earlier. This house is not particularly old but the couple have both lost their parents so I’m sure the vase in the photo would have come from one of the families.
The photo isn't the best but there is no way I'm getting it down from its high position to get a better focus.
We had a storm last night and there was 22 mls in the rain gauge this morning which means Vince won’t need to run the bore to water the garden and lawn. I’ll still need to do the pots that are under the verandah.

It would be dreadful if I dropped and broke it. I won't be touching it.

We have one that was turned into a lamp. It belonged to my grandma. It looks like it is identical. I’m not sure how old it is, but definitely over 100 years.

My mom had some pieces done in this style. If she were alive she would be 105.

These types of vases are so ornate. I wonder when it was made.

That's a pretty vase but I wouldn't bother it. My luck, I'd break it.

It looks rather old. Value doesn’t matter so much as long as you like it

A truly beautiful antique vase. I don't blame you a bit for not wanting to move it in any way, I wouldn't, either.

Beautiful vase. I always liked house sitting for friends..feeding the dogs or cats and playing with them.

It's nice seeing how others live. We don't have pets here really. It's mostly watering the garden.
