the day that hubby put the pole saw together that he just got in and put it to work. There are several areas along our driveway that has a low hanging limb or two. He took care of those limbs today and a couple in the front from the old 150 + year old oak tree. He didn't take long cutting and was back indoors in about an hour. The saw works well and gets the job done. I went outside to check on things once and he was grouchy, so I came back inside. I expect it will be pretty windy tomorrow with another storm blowing in. We are supposed to get rain starting around 7 pm Friday. We will get what we can done outside tomorrow since Saturday is a storm day and our rest day! Have you ever used a pole saw? Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain I couldn't find a photo of a pole saw, so you are getting Kermit doing a pole dance!

@kareng I like the advantage of going wherever I want with the battery ones I don't want a storm day either. But you have had more than we have

@wolfgirl569 You can take a manual one anywhere a battery one goes. Just have to do the sawing and that is good exercise and therapy for his arm and shoulder after the boat loading oops year and a half ago. It still gives him trouble every now and then.

I have never seen a pole saw so not sure what it looks like and don't think I would have use of one. Kermit doing the pole dance looks very funny.

It's a saw on the end of a pole. Most of the poles are expandable so that you can adjust to the height that you need. They are nice for quick little jobs. Would be very tiring on your arms to use it for long periods of time.

The owner of our house-sit had to trim a lot of branches so we could get our motor-home down his driveway.
