Hose problems are the worst don’t you think?

Ten minutes ago I put a pile of clothes in the washing machine and fired her up. Five minutes ago I spotted an errant sock that had fallen off the pile of dirty clothes as I carried them to the washing machine, and that really gets my goat.
There’s nothing I can do about it, but the idea of one of a pair of socks being clean and the other not doesn’t sit well in my head, just isn’t right.
I suppose I’ll throw the clean one in along with the unclean one when I get it and both will go into the next wash. There’s no way the clean sock would ever hang well on the washing line on its own while the other lies unfresh with other unwashed hose.
At least if I wash them as a pair later, even though one is fresh and one is not, I won’t know which is which when they come out. Otherwise I’d always be thinking all the rest of the day that my right sock was washed more often than the left, and that would upset world symmetry.
Now what’ll I prepare for luncheon?

I worry unnecessarily about a lot of things too. It will all work out I'm sure!

I worry about little things all the time. I try not to though.
