Happy Friday Everyone! the cold weather is back but the sun is shining. Those two days of spring-like weather were heavenly even thought they were short lived. Officially spring arrives next week (according to the calendar) but it remains to be seen when the temperatures will be warmer. My daughter took today off from work. Her workplace has been making some changes and she's been very stressed with a much heavier workload. They really need to hire another person for her department but it seems as if that's not something that's going to happen in the near future. She went from a job she loved to a job she's hating. I think her taking a day off and having the weekend ahead will help. We had all our donation boxes on the porch yesterday ready for pick-up. Even after getting confirmation they didn't show up. So, those boxes are back in the house and I guess we'll have to reschedule. I don't want to spend any money on groceries this week if I can help it. We decided to make do with what we have and I think we can get through the week. Grocery prices are so expensive that it will be nice if we can save a bit of money this week. Monday is St. Patricks Day and one of my favorites is Irish Soda Bread. My oldest daughter makes it and she said she was going to make a few loaves over the weekend and she'll make one for me. I'm already anticipating a nice big slice slathered with butter! Can't say there's anything exciting going on for the weekend. We'll just play it by ear. How's your day going?
