Happy Apple Pi Day, Radio Rangers! It is 80 degrees ((27C)) here in the Neon Fun Jungle, so I suppose you could call this a Hot Apple Pie Day. I'm not going to sully this sacred holiday by telling you that math is evil. All I'm going to do is show you Exhibit A and let you make up your own mind. As usual, I report, you decide. The sequence 6666666666 is the only 10-digit single-digit number that is contained in the first billion digits of Pi. It starts at the 386,980,412 position. That's three 666's in a row, plus one extra six for good measure and the implication is clear: If you fail your algebra test Monday, it's all Satan's fault. Many people are also blaming Satan for these, the only two algebra jokes I know: +++++ Algebra, stop asking me about your X. She's just gone and no one knows Y. +++++ What does the little mermaid wear? An algae-bra. +++++ Wow. You look like you could use a drink. Here, have one of these, an Apple Pie Sangria. Fifi, Fifi, my Sommelier and Chief Executive Vice President In Charge Of Alcoholic Affairs, invented them just for today. She's bit upset because I ordered my usual Pi Day breakfast, two Apple Pi Mimosas, which are just like regular Mimosas, only made with apple juice instead of orange juice. Anyway, she came back and said, "Why does every bottle of champagne in the house have a tag that says, 'Do Not Open Until Trump's funeral?" I explained to her that I don't want to risk running out on that happy day. So, no champagne until then. She said, "Well, that doesn't complicate my job at all. Ca va pas non! La boisson est annulée! I'll just make something else." She then mixed together white wine, caramel vodka, apple cider and soda water together and called it Apple Pie Sangria and that's the story of why we're drinking them. Brie, my favorite Upstairs Pastry Chef and Chief Executive Vice President In Charge Of Upstairs After Dinner Affairs, is also upset. So she says. She claims that she's overworked because she's been baking pies for days and this morning she got mad because she wanted to make Mini Strawberry Champagne Cheesecakes. I told her the same thing I told Fifi and she reacted the same way. "Fine. I'll make something else. But, be warned, I am not happy and it will be a froide day in Toulon the next time you taste my Mille Feuille!" I hope she's bluffing and I'm pretty sure she is because she always has fits of temporary irrationality on Pie Day. I love her Mille Feuille. I don't want to wait until there's a froide day in Toulon to taste it again. We'll see what happens. With that in mind, let's go to Thursday, July 24, 1980, to see what the Cosmic Universal Anthem Song Of The Month Club Anthem Song for today is. ************* Billy Joel - C'etait Toi (You Were the One) [Audio] Billy Joel

I also like it when no Greek letters are involved.

I love the algebra jokes and they are new to me. My favourite is: Q: If you’re holding 5 oranges in one hand, and 6 apples in the other. What have you got? A: Very BIG hands.
