5 days until spring. The cold weather days aren't as often now; and the warmer days seem to be coming front and center!!! I received a dozen Rainbow Roses for my birthday from my friend in Minnesota. I was totally shocked. We don't exchange gifts. Maybe because I recently lost my husband? I've known her since I was in my teens. We are going to the Title Bureau next week. I am treating my husband's 2nd cousin to dinner at Red Lobster again. I'm also considering it as part of my birthday!!! My husband's 2nd cousin is making headway through the stacks of stuff in my husband's sleep/TV room. Finding a couple of interesting items. Breakfast - Protein bar Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Cheese ravioli, bread stick, zucchini, cauliflower, Mandarin oranges Dessert/Snack - Cranberry orange muffin Dinner - Turkey/Cheddar sandwich and Cheetos What did you eat yesterday? I made a Spanish tortilla yesterday for lunch as I found half an onion and had potatoes. For dinner I had chicken broth (the last of the one I had made) and later on some ice cream. I´m glad that you are being helped with your husband´s belongings. Many times it is a cause of pain to do it alone. Take care.

Yes, the paperwork was not user friendly; and I wanted to make sure it was done correctly. I still have to change beneficiaries and redo my will...and go to the Title Bureau and bank.

I know you don't like cottage cheese but I made a wonderful casserole with cottage cheese, shredded cheddar and baked in the oven,

Yesterday was Mark’s Feed Store day! Baked potato with chicken and cheese for lunch, and sesame chicken for dinner. Yogurt, fiber, and watermelon! (Went to the store yesterday and got some cut up watermelon.)

@LindaOHio — I hate to tell you that they’re nothing more than Lean Cuisine frozen meals. But yes, they ARE good.

Spring is definitely in the air, especially with tornadoes hitting yesterday, summer is right around the corner. lol For dinner I made up a batch of scrambled eggs with onions, sliced hot dogs, and orange bell pepper and shredded cheese. I also baked up some crinkle cut fries and we made breakfast burritos out of it with some salsa and sour cream inside. Yummy!

Only 5 days? I remember when it was in the triple digits. Spring doesn't mean anything here sadly. That is a nice thing for your friend to send flowers for your birthday

@LindaOHio Most of them survived. I scorched the bottom layer. I am going to have to find a timer that I can wear around my neck!! I come back in the den and forget I have something on the stove!

Yes, I am sure she was trying to cheer you up. Nobody has sent me flowers in years, but friend will always bring me something for special days. Hmm, yesterday I had low carb toaster waffles, soup, and a loaded baked potato. I didn't have any plain yogurt or sour cream though.

My husband always wanted to get me flowers; but I told him that's such a waste of money. So then he wanted to get me a nice piece of jewelry; and I told him that I don't wear the jewelry that I have!

I love the way that she has stood by your side throughout this difficult time. It sounds that between the work at home and the errands, you are really making headway. I'm happy for you that you received flowers from a dear friend. I do not always get my oldest friend a birthday gift, but there are years where I will send her flowers too, no reason as to why. Maybe that is how your friend felt.

Now I want to send her flowers for her birthday...but I really don't want to start a precedent of exchanging gifts.

Yes, can't wait for that springtime weather. I believe we are over the hump as far as any more snow where I live, thank goodness. Ah, what a coincidence, I had cheese raviolis last night too.
