Finally Got Our Rain

Well, it was expected for Friday and it sure did come, together with heavy winds in the 70 mile per hour range complete with hail, thunderstorms and tornadoes. Luckily even though some tornadoes touched down close and were headed our way, they fizzled out before they got to our area.
But I was happy for the rain, which is rare for me. I did some overseeding last weekend (since I forgot to do it in the fall like I normally do) and need the seeds to germinate and grow for at least a few weeks before the first cut of the season, so hopefully now that we've had the rain, that will happen, and I'll have a healthier looking lawn.
I have to remind myself to get some more grass seed soon just so I have it on hand and am prepared for the fall.
I want to do a lot of overseeding this year.

I'm glad I live in a climate where our grass stays nice and green all year long! lol
But I'm glad to hear you weathered the storms safely. I've been seeing nothing but bad news reports on all the damage this storm system has done.

@porwest As with everywhere on this planet, there are positives and negatives of where I live. If you can handle brutally hot and humid summers, then maybe this would be a good option for you in the future.

@moffittjc Well, that's part of the reason I only desire being a snowbird. The summers are way too hot and humid for me.
