It Only Took Me 10 Years

Sometimes things amaze me, and they aren't always interesting or exciting things, mind you. Take my microwave, for example. It has a turntable inside, as many do these days, that spins round and round when you microwave something.
It has the normal features one might expect. Quick punch starting, for example, you hit a 1 or 2 or 5 or whatever and it automatically cooks for that amount of minutes. It has a timer. It has a defrost feature, which I use all the time.
But it also has a button that allows me to turn off the turntable, which I did not know was a feature it had. I just discovered it the other day when I went to change the clock yet again for the nth time.
I saw it, "Turntable," and thought, what the heck does that do? I hit the button and it said, "Turntable off." I hit it again and it said, "Turntable on."
10 years owning the stupid thing and I had no idea I could turn the turntable on and off. lol

I don't have that feature on my microwave oven, so consider yourself special. I do have a grill in mine, though.

@porwest The coils are up at the "ceiling" of the oven and only heat up when I push the grill buttons. Works like a toaster oven.

@BarBaraPrz Are you sure that's a microwave? Seems like that would not work because you cannot have metal inside of a microwave. Unless MAYBE they are ceramic coils of some kind. I have never even heard of such a combination.
I'd have to see a picture.

I have a very high-tech microwave too; and I never use all of the features.

I've owned many a microwave, but didn't have or at least know about that feature. I wonder why one would need that?
