Dagnab That Wife!

The past week has been absolutely gorgeous outside with nice, warm sunny days in the 70s and 80s, and as a result, we've managed to keep the windows open and the heat turned off, only resorting to closed windows and space heaters in the evenings and early mornings when it's cooler.
Just a few minutes ago I heard the furnace kick on and I was like, "What the hell?"
I went into the living room and questioned my bagel munching wife about it. "It's 67 in here and it's only a high of 50 today," she said.
Oh well. It's supposed to warm back up tomorrow, and that heat's going off again. I guess if we didn't have to run it for a week, we still saved some money, and one day won't hurt.
I would have suffered it out. But hey, what's worse? Being cold or having the wife give me the cold shoulder?
I'll take the heat being on as opposed to the alternative, thank you very much.

We dropped to 28F last night and it's only 47F at not quite 2:30 pm. I turned the heat back on when my bedroom reached 63F and I was cold under my covers. It's supposed to be a low of 36F tonight and the heat stays on for now. (Pretty was wrapped up in two quilts when I went to ask about turning the heat on last night.

@porwest My area had a two day cool down. You're lucky.

@DaddyEvil Yeah. One day is enough. I just can't get over winter fast enough.

Neither our furnace nor our a/c has been on for a week.

And whatever you do, don't suggest that she put on a sweater...
Currently 17°C/63°F here and raining, and yes, I'm wearing a sweater (and socks!).

I don't like being uncomfortable and would have opted for the heat.
