Weird Family Story w/A Lesson

I remember a family story from years ago. My father's mother (my grandma) is said to have taken a frying pan to his stepfather's head (in self defense, after he tried to slap her.) I don't know why that sticks in my mind, but the man never raised a hand to her again as long as they were together.

@lilacskies yeah everything I've heard about her is she was gentle usually but never was one to tolerate crap, as he learned the hard way.
