Friday night I had an interesting dream, and I had made a note to write about it. First, let me say that I hardly remember my mother feeling lively or spry ever in her life, and from about the time she was forty she spent most of her life on the sofa laying down, and that is why this dream was so striking. In my dream she was standing at the kitchen counter. This is the mom that was from my young childhood. She was examining a kind of device and also went almost skipping into another room. She was cleaning and laughing. She said something about having gotten a pacemaker and how good it was making her feel. She said she would highly recommend it for Bob. (Bob has one. She did not.) It was so fun to see her in her mid thirties and lively. I woke up feeling really happy about it. So, for what it was worth, it made me feel good. Never would have happened, but it was nice, nonetheless.
