I had made a note

Friday night I had an interesting dream, and I had made a note to write about it.
First, let me say that I hardly remember my mother feeling lively or spry ever in her life, and from about the time she was forty she spent most of her life on the sofa laying down, and that is why this dream was so striking.
In my dream she was standing at the kitchen counter. This is the mom that was from my young childhood. She was examining a kind of device and also went almost skipping into another room. She was cleaning and laughing. She said something about having gotten a pacemaker and how good it was making her feel. She said she would highly recommend it for Bob. (Bob has one. She did not.) It was so fun to see her in her mid thirties and lively. I woke up feeling really happy about it.
So, for what it was worth, it made me feel good. Never would have happened, but it was nice, nonetheless.

@GardenGerty I had a dream once my mom’s memory was almost completely back (she had already passed at the time), and we went for a drive to see fall leaves to celebrate. Makes me tear up thinking about it. I was so happy.

It certainly is. Better than waking up dragging.

I'm glad you got to see your mom enjoying herself, laughing and playing while she worked around the house... Even in a dream. I'm sure that made you happy.

She was like that when I was four or five. I guess my dream made me feel younger too.

What a wonderful, special dream for you to have. Even though it didn't happen, the dream itself shows the love you had for her.
