I am sure you have all heard of Mel Gibson, but some might not be aware of Belle Gibson.
Belle was a social media influencer. She used her ‘story’ of having multiple cancers, and claimed to be treating them by leading a wellbeing lifestyle.
Her whole healthy eating mantra was followed by many of her followers on social media. This has a detrimental effect on these individuals, further leading to suggesting that her story wasn’t true.
In April 2015 in an interview it was revealed the claims were false. Things unravelled further when it was discovered that her charitable work was not followed through on, and donations were not made that should’ve being.

@Danielclark691 I don't remember the story but I'm sure we have our share of nasty people. The latest idiot person was an influencer who grabbed a baby wombat from its mother to have a photograph taken with it. She has now left the country.

Some people will do anything for money, even lie to their friends as long as money keeps flowing to them. It's a real shame when things like that happen.
