New Jersey now wants parents to declare if their newborn babies are gay, lesbian, transgender, etc.

Um what the hell? Apparently it is part of data collection connected to a 2022 law about determining citizen demographics to track health information. Hey I get the state wanting to know about demographics for health info, decisions, and legislation. But the idea of parents of a 1 day old baby stating if their child is gay, lesbian, or transgender is INSANE. Those kids usually don't figure that out on their own until they are pre-teens or teenagers. There is NO WAY a parent can look at a newborn baby and say that they are transgender. Parents do have the option to decline to answer and I hope they all do. What stupidity.

@njchicaa I would love to see the idiot who devised that question interviewed on TV. That’s the sort of wastage DOGE needs to be going after. Deserving of public mockery.

Well, considering the stupidity of your federal overseers, why should your state ones make any sense?

I agree with you. A parent cannot know much about their newborns.
