I only did half of what I wanted.

Today Camila took me to one of the doctors that I know for a long timee. She is a dermatologist and has taken out 5 skin cancers along the years.
The last time I needed a dermatologist she wasn´t available so I made an appointment with someone else. I had a list but he asked me what bothered me most and only saw that.
Today I told my very own doctor and she saw every tiny little thing I had. The only thing she did not like was a very small red thingy on my nose. So she will do a biopsy there. All the rest she checked with magnifying glasses and pronounced all of them "the results of age". And as I don´t mind that any longer I accepted it. At almost 80 years of age I cannot expect my skin to be as fine as it was before.
I bought part of my meds by I forgot to buy the rest so I´ll go tomorrow. I also forgot to pay the hospital but as I have to go again for the biopsy, I´ll do that then.
I invited Camila to the Chinese restaurant I like best and after she brought me back I fell asleep on my bed until just a while ago. So outside it is night (I even fed Luna) but I´m beginning my day.
See you around.

I'm glad you got everything that was worrying you checked. Some doctors are more sympathetic than other doctors and will do things just because we're their patient. Other doctors can be a**holes about things. I usually stop seeing the ones who don't treat me the way I think they should. (I don't like my endocrinologist but can't change him for a better one. He's the only one around so I have to put up with his abuse.)

This one is "my" doctor. She even took care about changing one of the special unguents that I have to use. That meant paying one fourth for the same thing.

@DaddyEvil She is. But she is do good that now she has become the head of the hospital´s dermatologists. But she gave me the name of her secretary should I need a special appointment. She knows that I will not abuse.

She put me at ease over many things that bothered me. I don´t mind if she told me that part of them was age.

@JudyEv Exactly. All the skin cancers I´ve had have begun by changes in the skin color. So I´m happy that the changes I have now are just age. I´m not interested in getting a 90 year old boyfriend anyway.

@marguicha Even if it is age, it's good to know that's all it is.

Sounds like you had a busy but productive day with your dermatologist. It must have been reassuring to see a doctor you trust after all these years. I too had that experience a few times. It’s great that she took the time to check everything thoroughly. Hopefully, the biopsy on your nose turns out to be nothing serious. It’s understandable to forget a few things after such a long day, but at least you have another chance to take care of them. Atleast I feel that way. A nice meal at your favorite Chinese restaurant sounds like a perfect way to end the day. We all need some fun and relaxation after all. Falling asleep afterward must have been refreshing, even if it shifted your schedule a bit. Enjoy your time!

The day was perfect. And Camila is my favorite of Dixie´s daughters. I feel that she likes me in a special way too. She is always helping me. The thinguie on my nose cannot be too much, even if it is cancer. It is tiny so it must be easy to remove it completly. Even if I had only gone to the doctor and done nothing else, the outing was worth it.
