It was no problem at all to get my phone yesterday. My work badge unlocked the door. I did not even run into the custodial staff, I was that quick. Jane and I had lunch at Subway, then went to the thrift shop. Her husband picked her up. I went to go home and my car had an attitude. I could put the key in the ignition, but it would not turn. The shifter would not shift. I remembered that Bob had told me if the wheels on a car are turned just right (just wrong) that can happen. You have to take the steering wheel and line it up absolutely straight. I could not do it. Bob came and rescued me, and was rewarded with a very good Subway sandwich for his trouble. So there you have my Monday adventures.

I really hate having problems with cars. Luckily, touch wood, we haven't had any for a while.

He probably was strong enough to turn the wheels...

I'm glad everything worked out for you and sorry you had trouble with your car... I did that once with our Turismo. I pulled into a park to sit and read while waiting for time for an appointment. When it was time for me to go, the car wouldn't start. I couldn't figure it out so I called a garage and a mechanic showed up, took the car out of drive and back into park and it started right up. I felt like an idiot. The mechanic told me it happened more often than I'd think it did. And didn't charge me for the call. He was a nice guy. (I wasn't used to a automatic since I always drove a standard shift car. I was used to just stepping on the clutch, starting the car and then putting it into first to take off.)

Yes sometimes you have to wiggle the steering wheel a bit before you can get the key in. Glad you were rescued!

That happened to Juanita one time. The guy that came out told her the same thing.
