Summer vacation begins.....

Good morning from this side of the planet . It's 11 AM and I am done with the morning chores and now will take a bit of break here with mylotting for a while . It's the first day of summer vacation here and the school will reopen from first week of June for a new academic year. Well, class 10, 11and 12 have already started with their new academic year and their summer vacation is cut short by five weeks. They will have school till third week of April. These are three crucial years of school education in India as it's board exam years and also preparing for their future University. Subject teachers associated with these classes get a shorter summer vacation, but they are handsomely compensated for the extra month that they work. I am not associated with these classes in any way except for being a counselor. So, no more school for me till June . Nothing much planned for the summer vacation as my daughters don't have their holidays till June. So, a family vacation is totally out of question. We might go for some weekend gateways if possible. I might have to take a week break in the new academic year when my daughters have their semester break if we plan for some travel. Nothing concrete yet, we have few destinations in mind. Let's see what is in store . And since no one else has holidays with me, I will have house to myself on weekdays except for the day when my husband would work from home. That's a luxury!!! I want to start my vacation being a bit lazy and slow till this weekend. I will get back to being productive from next week. My therapy sessions continue in the afternoon. So, that would keep me busy for few hours each day. That's all for the blabbering. Now, that the vacation is here, you might see me active here at odd morning hours. I will have to wake up to cook and pack for my younger daughter. And that's good because I can finish more stuffs in the morning and spend the day in other things.
