Off to Donegal.

I shall rise with the sun tomorrow, take a bracingly cold shower, then bundle my wife and daughter into the car and head for Donegal. We’ll take the scenic route, bimbling up the coast, stopping off for lunch at Portrush then heading west to cross the border at Strabane before turning south to Stranorlar. We should get to the hotel mid afternoon, time for the ladies to start prettying themselves up and getting ready for dinner. I’ll wait for them in the gloriously warm and opulent lounge, read and have a drink. The occasion is our daughter’s birthday. She’s the one with Downs Syndrome and she’ll be 24. We’re only staying the one night then home again for the weekend before going off to visit the other daughters across the water.
