I Have A Dryer.

No, it is not new. It is a hand-me-down dryer from my sister-in-law. She recently purchased a new washer and dryer. The old one probably was 6-7 years old but still working. She asked me if I wanted both but I asked for the dryer only since I have a washer here. I asked her to give the washer to her mom, my MIL. You know, we live in a tropical country, so we do not use dryers unless it is rainy season. So this dryer has not reached it maximum usage. Well, I have not tried it yet since the weather is hot and sunny. But I am excited to use this just to know. I am curious, okay?

If it hasn't had a lot of use, hopefully it will last a good few more years. I don't use mine much but it's handy to have it.

Dryers always last a lot longer than the washing machines do under normal usage so you should get years more use out of that one. Congrats! There's nothing wrong with being curious. I'm sure you'll enjoy the dryer when you really need it during the rainy season.

@rakski We always use a dryer. We don't have clotheslines in our yard. I hope you enjoy your dryer.

@rakski It gives you control over when you do laundry, and not the weather.

In some apartments, a dryer is quite important due to the limited space.

@rakski True! However, there are still some people who live in condos who hang their clothes on their windows, causing water to splash down to the lower floors.

We can't hang our laundry out to dry here in my neighborhood so a dryer is a must.

You saved some money from having to get a new one. That was very kind of her to give her old one to you. That looks to be in good condition and will last for a long time.
