I used to work from morning to afternoon, then afternoon to evening, but now I'm going back to the graveyard shift. This was my schedule for many years before, and I’m happy to have it again. For me, working at night makes the time go by faster compared to working in the morning or afternoon, even though it's still an 8-hour shift. It’s probably because I start work at night and it's still dark outside when I finish.

I loved working graveyard shift when I was younger and continued working that shift until I got full custody of my daughter. The judge who gave me custody of my daughter made me start working daytime and I hated it but kept working it because of my daughter.
I agree, working graveyard went by much faster even though it was the same amount of hours worked in a day. I also got more pay for working the late night shift because nobody wanted to work late nights.

Indeed! I thought I was the only one who noticed it because when I mentioned it to my friends, they just said it's the same as a daytime job.
So, if you're working during the daytime, who takes care of your daughter? Wouldn't it be better if they let you work at night so you could have more time with her during the day?

@tech40 My daughter was in school when I worked during the daytime. I'm retired now. This happened 25 years ago.

@DaddyEvil Ooh, it's good to have a daytime job since she's at school during the day and you can spend time together at night. How is she now?
